If you select the Review File Mapping check box when uploading a file to onboard employees, the Review File Mapping screen will display. This screen shows how the fields in your file are mapped to fields in the Portal.
1. Check the mappings and change any of them if necessary.
Pay particular attention to any fields that are framed in red or grey as the data from these fields will not display in the Portal when the file is loaded.
• If a field’s heading has a yellow border, the field matches a known value in the Portal and has been mapped automatically without the need for direct (manual) mapping.
• If a field’s heading has a green border, the field source and the target field in the Portal have been directly (manually) mapped.
• If a field’s heading has a red border, the field is referenced in the file mapping but a target destination field has not been defined in the Portal.
• If a field’s heading has a grey border, data in this column cannot be loaded into the Portal according to the current mapping. This may occur if the Portal cannot recognise the column heading.
2. If any of the mappings are incorrect, make the necessary corrections. For more information, see the File Type Mapping Guide.
For future uploads, if you don’t want to view the file mapping, unselect the Review File Mapping check box. The Portal remembers your selection when you next upload a file. If you are sure all of the mappings are correct, click the Next button.
3. If you’ve made one or more mapping changes, a confirmation message displays. Click OK to continue.
Your mapping changes are saved and the file upload progresses to the next process step. If there is missing or incorrect information, the upload will only progress to Validation Issues. Otherwise, the file will progress to the Review step.
